It is the most westerly point in mainland United Kingdom, and the most popular outdoor attraction in Cornwall. There is something for the entire family to see and do. The rugged coastline at Lands End has spectacular cliffs with breathtaking views views of the Longships Lighthouse and Wolf Rock off shore and the Isles of Scilly in the distance. It is 2500 miles to America across the Atlantic Ocean.
There is a modest car parking charge at Land's End but admission to the complex is free. There is something for everyone at Land's End whatever the weather.

St Michaels Mount is an island 500 yards off the Cornish coast at Marazion which is less than 2 miles along the coast from Lombard House Hotel. It once had a chapel built by Edward the Confessor under the jurisdiction of the Abbey. You can walk to the Island at low tide across a causeway. When the causeway is covered by the tide, a small ferry operates carrying visitors to and from the island. St.Michaels Mount has been associated with Christianity since the 5th century and has been linked by some with Roman Ictis.
