yards off the Cornish coast at Marazion which is less than 2 miles along the coast
from Lombard House Hotel. It once had a chapel built by Edward the Confessor under
the jurisdiction of the Abbey. You can walk to the Island at low tide across a
causeway. When the causeway is covered by the tide, a small ferry operates carrying
visitors to and from the island. St.Michaels Mount has been associated with Christianity
since the 5th century and has been linked by some with Roman Ictis. |
Morrab Gardens is Between the town centre and
sea front. There are three acres of subtropical gardens housing a large variety
of plants, shrubs and trees which thrive in the mild climate. There are some plants
that have been grown in Morrab Gardens for over a century. You will find magnolias,
camellias, tree ferns, palm trees, banana plants..............................
Penlee Memorial Park is situated close to Morrab
gardens. Here you will find fifteen acres of beautiful parkland containing a small
