| | Some visitors arriving at the Minack
Theatre for the first time, imagine it was built by the Romans. The Roman
invaders never in fact ventured this far west. From 1931 until she died in
1983 the Minack Theatre was planned, built and financed by one determined woman
- Rowena Cade. "Minack" in Cornish means a rocky place. The black headed
crag below the theatre has always been a landmark for local fishermen who saw
the Minack evolve in the 1930s. | |
